EcoVia Fly Killer

From commercial kitchens to high-rise apartments, any place with plumbing has one common area where bacteria and organic build-up call home. Drains by nature are out of sight and out of mind, until they start spawning pest problems that can be more than just a nuisance. Filth flies see a drain as the perfect place to feed their next generation of pesky pests, and dealing with them can be a challenge. Products used in drains need to be effective at killing and repelling flies, but even more importantly need to be drain-safe and biodegradable.

EcoVia Fly Killer is a thick gel-like formulation that can be applied directly to drains. It is a research-based, EPA exempt 25(b) product from our EcoVia botanical product line. The viscous solution allows for slow coverage of the drain surfaces all the way down to the P-trap or base of the drain it is poured into. The botanical actives in EcoVia Fly Killer will kill any life stage of fly that it comes in contact with including the eggs, larvae, and adults, but even more importantly will repel flies from laying eggs in that treated drain when the treatment is present. In lab tests, EcoVia Fly Killer achieved a 100% kill and 100% repellency on both small and large flies including fruit, phorid, drain, lesser house, and blow flies. Treatments with this product are not only useful for removing an active fly infestation, but they can also be done to prevent the problem in the first place!

Beyond a direct kill and control agent for drain pests, EcoVia Fly Killer is also an antibacterial agent that kills odor-causing bacteria. The EcoVia Fly Killer formula penetrates bio-films and loosens grease and organic debris, assisting with clean-up. The label includes broad use sites, both indoors and outdoors, and can be applied wherever organic debris accumulated where small and large flies feed and lay eggs. This versatile product can also be diluted 50/50 to spray, foam or mop on surfaces. It can also be applied when the facility is in operation.
